Rachel Tevere VMD (Emergency / Critical Care)

Dr Rachel Tevere

Dr. Rachel Tevere earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2025. Before veterinary school, she completed her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University, where she majored in Animal Science and Neuroscience.

Her path to veterinary medicine began at just 13 years old, when she started volunteering with an animal rescue group in Arizona. What began as a passion for helping animals quickly grew into a lifelong calling, especially after she started fostering pets and experienced the joy of nursing them back to health and helping them find loving homes.

As an emergency veterinarian, Dr. Tevere enjoys the fast pace and variety of her work. She finds it deeply rewarding to help pets feel better and reunite them with their families. Her clinical interests include trauma, sepsis/SIRS, and toxicities.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Tevere enjoys running, traveling, and cooking. She shares her home with two beloved cats, George and Phoebe. One of her proudest accomplishments is becoming a veterinarian. She also has a soft spot for the city of Philadelphia, which holds a special place in her heart.
