Alanna Mallory, BS, LVT, VTS (SAIM) Lead Specialty Nurse

Alanna Mallory

Alanna brings nearly two decades of experience in Internal Medicine to her role as Lead Specialty Nurse at Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists in the Internal Medicine department. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware and became a Licensed Veterinary Technician shortly after. In 2012, she earned her Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) designation in Small Animal Internal Medicine—an accomplishment that reflects her dedication to the field. Alanna is also Fear Free Certified.

Alanna’s journey into veterinary medicine began with a childhood love for animals. While she initially pursued a degree in Elementary Education, a part-time job at an emergency and specialty veterinary hospital during her first semester of college shifted her path. That experience sparked a deep interest in veterinary care and ultimately led her to specialize in Internal Medicine, where she has remained ever since.

For Alanna, the most rewarding part of her work is building lasting relationships with patients and helping them feel better over time. She finds special meaning in seeing chronic patients thrive—and in knowing that her care has made a difference.

Outside of work, Alanna enjoys spending time with her husband, Jay, and their son, Miles. You might find her at one of Miles’ sports games, tending to her yard, or working on a puzzle. She also loves exploring plant nurseries and caring for her own collection of plants. The family shares their home with a beloved Chihuahua mix named Rilo.
