Alicia Carr, AAS, CVT VTS (ECC) Nursing Education Coordinator

Alicia Carr

Alicia brings more than 25 years of experience in Emergency and Critical Care to her role as Nursing Education Coordinator. She earned her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2005 and became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in 2015. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Alicia continues to work part-time on the ER/ICU floor, where she stays closely connected to patient care and the evolving demands of emergency medicine.

Throughout her career, Alicia has developed a passion for managing complex medical cases and mentoring veterinary technicians as they advance in their careers. She lectures nationally on Emergency and Critical Care topics and finds great fulfillment in helping technician students prepare for and pass the VTNE. She is also RECOVER and Fear Free Certified.

One of Alicia’s favorite moments on the job is discharging a patient she’s cared for over several days—seeing their progress firsthand and knowing she played a role in their recovery is deeply rewarding. Her dedication to education, professional development, and compassionate care supports the continued growth of the nursing team at Pinnacle.

Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and son. They love kayaking and exploring new places together. At home, Alicia shares her life with a sweet 16-year-old cat named Owen.
