Crystal King

Crystal has always felt a strong pull toward helping animals—a calling that began early in life and continues to guide her career. She earned her Associate in Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2006 and became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Surgery (VTS – Surgery) in 2013. She is currently pursuing a second VTS certification in Emergency and Critical Care. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) and Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Crystal brings advanced clinical knowledge and years of hands-on experience to her role at Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists.

Her areas of focus include surgery, anesthesia, rehabilitation and physical therapy, emergency, and critical care. She is also passionate about contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine through research. Crystal helped develop an environmental enrichment apparatus for captive non-human primates, which received its patent in 2011. In 2016, she co-authored a study on the effects of omega-3 fatty acids in dogs with osteoarthritis.

Outside the hospital, Crystal enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending quality time with her loved ones. She shares her home with three dogs: Odin, a 3-year-old Canine Good Citizen and South African Boerboel; Scarlett, a 5-year-old Perro de Presa Canario; and Scout, a 6-year-old spirited mixed breed adopted from the SPCA.
