
Dr. Kayleigh McCormick joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at PVS in 2025. A native of Pennsylvania, she earned dual undergraduate degrees in toxicology and biology from Penn State before graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. After veterinary school, Dr. McCormick completed a rotating internship and began her career in sunny Arizona. She later returned to the East Coast, practicing in Pittsburgh before ultimately settling back in her hometown of Chester County.
Dr. McCormick has spent her entire career in emergency medicine, drawn to the wide variety of cases and fast pace. Her clinical interests include emergency stabilization, feline urethral obstructions, and toxicology. She is passionate about tailoring treatment plans to the individual needs of each patient and their family, and values collaborative decision-making with pet owners.
At home, Dr. McCormick enjoys the antics of her cat, Pippin, who lives up to his mischievous hobbit namesake.
